Oh those Parisian boulangeries…

Coffee with a view
One of the things that pop into my head when people ask me: ‘ Mar, where to go when in Paris?’: the terrace between Musée d’Art Moderne and Palais de Tokyo. One of my favorite places to grab a cup of coffee. I’ve noticed that it’s kind of a hidden spot. You’ll find quite some locals coming together for their caffeine fix or to master their art of Apéro. I mean, of course they will. Look at the view.

A sweet combination
Voilà, a sweet combination of a view from my beloved Montmartre and the wisdom of mr. Hemingway:
“There is never any ending to Paris and the memory of each person who has lived in it differs from that of any other. We always returned to it no matter who we were or how it was changed or with what difficulties, or ease, it could be reached. Paris was always worth it and you received return for whatever you brought to it.” – E. Hemingway
Amen mr. Hemingway. Amen.
Macarons
Eric Kayser is one of the places I go for my macarons-fix. The macarons frond Eric Kayser have always been one of my favorites. Not too sweet, not artificial tasting. Perfect texture. It’s simply eating a piece of heaven.
Ici: pomme et fique. The fig one is one of my favorite, with pieces of (dried?) figs in the middle. Heaven!
Boot Cafe
Mellow Mondays in Paris at Boot Cafe, the smallest coffeeshop ( the irony: it’s basically shoebox sized), built into a former cobbler. The coffee is absolutely perfect. Fun fact, plus an extra reason for me to love this place: a few weeks ago they had a ‘Biggie Smalls week’, = free coffee for those who would come in and would manage to rap a Biggie Smalls verse ( it was his birthday that week). This simply makes them the coolest coffee shop ever. I love Biggie, I love good coffee. I love Boot Cafe. So, make sure you stop by for the perfect caffeine fix when visiting Paris.
