Nicolas Tavitian, my recent discovery, a talented french illustrator and probably a fashion lover too. He has done work for (fashion) magazines and fashion houses like Moschino and Harpers Bazaar. His images are all hand maid and so well detailed, that it sometimes seems that you’re staring at a picture (very realistic). But then he may also place a cartoon bird on a freshly drawn-model. I love this ‘twist’ he gives to some of his images. The constrast betweet the almost realistic-drawing and the ‘wait..that model has an unfinished/cartoon-ish hand…’-effect, is what really intrigues me.
What I like the most about his illustrations is the relationship between fashion and art and the fact that all his images have some sort of glamourous and sensual touch.
